Coffee Mill Lake, Bois d'arc Trailhead

Semi-primitive equestrian camping. Pull through sites and back-in. Water available at each site, no electric - bring a generator for AC on hot summer nights. Generous room between sites. Trails are mostly sandy loam with some areas of red clay which can be slick if there's been any rain. Views are varied - there are stands of old pine to ride through, stands of very old, very large cedars, oak stands, open grassland, and trails which run alongside Coffee Mill Lake. There isn't anywhere I'd recommend getting your horse off into the water - banks appear steep, water is deep. If you find yourself pulling into a camping loop next to the lake, you've gone about a mile too far past the equestrian camping. Equestrian camping is not on the lake. I'd rate the trail difficulty at advanced-beginner to low-intermediate.
TRAIL HEAD
Multiple trailheads begin next to the camping loop.
