Camp Cooking with Otzi Adventure Gear 

Candied Smoked Bacon with Fried Eggs   

*Traditional Recipe   

Featuring: Otzi Spark Flat Pack Grill  

- 1/4 cup brown sugar  

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon  

- 1/2 tsp black pepper  

- 6 pieces thick-cut bacon  

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and black pepper in a dish and dip bacon in the mixture, coating both sides.

Place bacon on grill top and let cook until the strips begin to buckle and curl, then remove from grill and let cool for one minute.

Thread onto skewer and place over coals, cooking until bacon appears crispy and caramelized. Remove from skewer and enjoy!

We served it with fried eggs with green onion and tomatoes on the side.

*Vegetarian/ Vegan Recipe

- 1/2 tsp black pepper  

- 6 pieces vegan bacon (we used Lightlife Smart Bacon) 

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and black pepper in a dish.

Apply a light layer of olive oil to bacon and dip bacon in the mixture, coating both sides.

Thread onto skewer and place over coals, cooking until bacon appears crispy and caramelized.

Remove from skewer and enjoy!

We served with JUST Egg (plant-based), scrambled with green onion and tomatoes on the side.
